The challenge

Clearer messaging and visual design that would resonate with GiraffePad’s audience

As a growing SaaS company, GiraffePad was eager to create a fresher, more appealing online presence that resonated with their ideal audience - individual coaches and trainers, training consultancies, and learning and development teams.

They were also looking for clarity in their messaging so there were no more questions about who their product was for, what it did, or what the key benefits were from using the platform.

Current users love this product. Churn rate is almost non-existent. And customer testimonials include phrases like “GiraffePad is really sexy” and “Bloody brilliant!”.

Our objectives

  • Work through our Brand Ignition process to gather the necessary information that would define the new design and conversion copy work
  • Get incredibly clear about exactly who needs GiraffePad, and why
  • Get specific about not only the unique feature sets of the product, but also the vast array of benefits for both business owners and learners.
  • Emphasise the importance of GiraffePad being learner-centric. While it’s a platform for trainers to manage their workload and programmes, it’s designed specifically to help trainers improve the entire learning journey, encouraging ongoing change and positive development for their learners.

The solution

The original GiraffePad site was a minimal build. It was enough to get their product rolling, but not enough to take them to their next level of growth. 

Their existing logo was pretty awesome, so we insisted they keep this. We made a few refinements and then used the logo as part of a continuing theme throughout the site to build brand recognition.

After speaking with the co-founders and their existing customers, it was clear that they were all lovely, lively people that were passionate about their work. And above all, they were dedicated to helping others succeed. 

Our goal was to ensure the new design and messaging direction reflected this. The design is very human-focused to inspire instant connection and encourage site visitors to take action. 

Warm, relatable language, and a bright, modern colour palette with a clean interface all help to instantly engage first-time visitors and move them seamlessly through the site.
